Ghosting SN: 1344661392

 

  • When the manufacturer does not complete the unit registration process, the unit is provided a ghost serial number.  In this particular production run, 1344661392 was the ghost serial number issued. 

  • The ghost serial number: 1344661392, will NOT match the serial number on the unit 162739XXXX and it may lead to incorrect unit expiration dates.

 

To resolve this issue, please check the Serial Number registered to the unit by going to Settings > General > About > OK

If the SN on the screen displays 1344661392, then this unit did not complete the registration process.  If the SN section is blank, then don’t worry.  Exit out of Menus and on the main (home) page, go to [TV] and press OK.  When you are in the TV List Page, press the RED button on the remote control which to the left of the GREEN button.  This will refresh your TV Channels.  Go back to the About page and your SN should be displayed and you are done.

If you see SN 1344661392, then go to the main (home) page and go to [Apps] and press OK.

Inside the Apps Menu – go to the Watch TV App.

​

When you are on the Watch TV app, press and hold down the Menu button on the remote for 5~8 seconds.

If you have pressed the Menu button correctly then you will see this system message:

Press the OK button on “Clear data”   After several seconds, you will see a quick note towards the bottom of the screen noting: Clear Succeed.

Now exit out of Menus by pressing the Home button (Blue House).

Go to [TV] and press OK.  Wait for the channels to load and perform a Refresh TV List (pressing RED button).

 

After the channels reloaded successfully, then go back to the About page to see if the SN now matches the unit’s SN on the label which is on the bottom of the unit.   If you still see the ghost SN 1344661392, then perform a Power > Restart.
