System Error Messages

 

  • On occasions your unit may display System Error Messages.  Please see the below solutions to resolve these System Error Messages.

The "Internal Storage Running Out" system error message will display when your unit is low on available memory.  This may occur when the user has installed numerous Apps or most commonly a "data-dump" infected the unit.  Since the available memory is low, the unit may become very sluggish and will cause buffering on channels.  In sever situations, your unit will freeze and become non-responsive to any remote control commands.

Should you view the "Internal Storage Running Out" system error message, please select "Cancel" and press [OK] on the remote.  If your unit is frozen (non-responsive), then you may have to unplug the power adapter plug, wait about 30 seconds, and reinsert the power adapter plug to reload to the Main (Home) Page.  *Note* Due to limited resources on the unit, you will have to perform these actions quickly.

Using your remote, quickly press 168168 to access a hidden system function to "Clear All Data."  If performed correctly you will see the pop-up below.  Toggle to "OK" and press [OK] on the remote.  In most cases, this will correct and restore the available storage on the LevanTV unit.

You can check the Available Storage by going to Settings > General > [Scroll Down to Storage] > [OK on remote].  The Available Storage should be above 5GB.

If you are still encountering issues with "Internal Storage Running Out", then you will have to perform a [Restore Factory].

[Restore Factory] and press "OK".  You will see a message prompt to [Done] or [Cancel].  Toggle to [Done] and press "OK".  Please note that if you Restore Factory, the unit will reboot and reinstall the firmware.  It is very important that you do NOT disconnect the Power Adapter during this process.s.

*Note* After performing a [Restore Factory], you have to re-enter the WIFI password if you are using WIFI.

Network Issues

The Network Connection Error typically occurs when your router assigns the unit an IP address but for some reason the router does not recognize the unit.

If you see this light blue Network Connection Error screen and your network configuration is correct, then you may have to Power Cycle your modem and router.  To power cycle your modem and router, you will have to disconnect the power the modem and router for about 2 minutes and the reconnect the power.  Wait until the modem and router has fully rebooted and then turn on the unit.  This should resolve the Network Connection Error issue.
